David Shed Sr.

David Dawayne Shed Sr., 71, of Guy, Texas was born on October 17,1946 in Oakalla, Texas.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of E.P. Compean Funeral Directors on Mon., July 16, 2018, from 11am to 1:30pm with a religious service beginning @ 12pm.

Rite of Committal will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, Texas.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He served in the U.S. Army, and loved to bowl, and play softball. He spent most of his working career as a carpenter. He could often be heard saying his famous phrase “Ain’t It.” He enjoyed playing cards regularly with his family and friends. David passed away at his home in Guy on July 10, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice, his father Henry and his brother, Hubert.

David is survived by his brothers Curtis and wife Kay of Lane City, Jimmy and Beverly of Rosenberg, Eugene of Guy, sisters Dee Koehler of Guy, Geraldine Engelhardt of Needville, sister-in-law Viola of Needville, daughters Cynthia Bolf and husband James of Giddings, Deborah Shed Diebner and husband Kelley of Houston, sons David Shed Jr. of Sugar Land, and Destry Shed of Missouri, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
