Gilbert (Burt) Marvin

Gilbert (Burt) Marvin was born in July 1951, the second surviving son of Walter and Laih Marvin. He grew up learning the importance of hard work, family, humor, and completing the tasks set forward for him.

Burt met Nancee Schultz through a local Nazarene church, and they soon married in Lowell, Michigan June 26th, 1971.

Burt joined his wife and best friend Nancee in Heaven on July 21st, less than a month after celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, and just days before his 70th birthday. Burt and his Heavenly Father knew his tasks on earth were complete, and that his heart was already in Heaven with Nancee.

Burt was preceded by his parents Walter and Laih, brother Lewis (Butch) Marvin, sisters Louise King and Shirley (Sam) Marvin, and wife Nancee Marvin.

Burt is survived by his son Jonathan, sister Kim Howorth, brother Bill Howorth, brother Lawrence Marvin, the young adults whose lives he impacted, and the Crestron Electronics support staff who still call him Dad.

A joint memorial service for Burt and Nancee will be held September 11th. Doors open at 4:00pm at Carmel Church located at 12412 TX-36, Needville, Texas 77461
