On September 30, 2023, Paulette Gross Freudenberger passed away peacefully in her Houston home. Paulette was an amazing lady who always had a smile, never raised her voice, was quick with the one-line zingers and had the most amazing will. She dedicated her life to her husband of 66 years and her sons. She was always willing to support her husband and his research, even if that meant moving the family internationally. Paulette loved the arts, handwritten letters, reading, and above all, food. She remembered the best meals of her life and always loved chocolate, which was second only to her family. To speak to her resilience, she never experienced an illness that hospitalized her.
She was born and raised in New York City and called herself a New Yorker, lived in Montana & parts of Europe, and lived in her true home, New Orleans, for 45+ years. She loved being with friends and family. She will be greatly missed.
Paulette is survived by her sons Alfred and Joseph, grandchildren David, Ellen, Jacob and Julia, and great grandson, Bryce. She is predeceased by her husband, Herman, and sister, Betty Anne.
