Richard Thomas “Tommy” Ayles, 64, of Needville, TX, was born on Feb. 21, 1953, to Jack and Ruth (Wright) Ayles and passed away on June 24, 2017.
Tommy was a loving husband and father. He was a hard worker who set a great example for all those who knew him. He was a rock of consistency. You could almost always find him perched on his favorite stool in his workshop tinkering with some sort of project. He was always a reliable friend, a mostly-patient teacher, and caring husband.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruth Ayles; brother, Jay Ayles; sister, Patricia Ayles.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Shirley Hohlbaugh Ayles; sons, Richard Thomas Ayles II and wife Amanda, Joshua Alan Ayles and wife Crystal; granddaughter, Rosie Ayles; sisters, Penny Pioquinto and husband Greg, Jackie Adams and husband Ken, Pam Chapin and husband Tom; nephews, Paul Pioquinto, Jason Ayles, Jeffery Adams, and Justin Ayles; nieces, Amanda Austin, Rebecca Beal and husband Chris; along with many friends and other loved ones.
